This decade long rivalry is probably what pushes their makers to produce better handling, more style, faster acceleration and more user friendly muscle vehicle. Lets compare the two and see which one has the edge over the other.
The sixth generation Mustang was recently unveiled by Ford, and the best part of it is its engine, This model comes equipped with the V-8 and V-6 engines and 4-cylinder turbocharged engine. The naturally aspirated V-6 is a base unit and promise to deliver 300 horsepower while V8 gives out more than 420hp which is quite good.

Camaro’s base engine is also V6 and gives out 323 hp and has a slight advantage over Mustang’s base engine, people at Ford knew it and that why they came up with a option of a midrange 2.3 litre turbocharged EcoBoost four cylinder engine, that will produce a horsepower in the range of 305 to 330 hp, which pitches it ahead of the base engine of Camaro, not to mention the weight advantage a small size engine can have and more torque that should be delivered.
Both the vehicles offers six speed manual or a six speed automatic transmission gear box.
Taking a look at the interiors the cabin of Ford it quite amazing, they have upgrade the Mustang’s cabin with good quality materials and an advanced touchscreen display in the centre of the dashboard. The leather seats and chrome black look just suits with its muscle tag.
Camaro’s cabin is a bit less attractive than that of Mustang’s. Having said that feature wise its not far behind, equipped with a touch screen in the middle and streeing mounted with all the essential controls. It comes in matte finished black and silver color. If you are paying for style, then Mustang certainly has its hand over Camaro.
Over the years, performance wise Camaro has had a slight advantage over Mustang due to the independent rear suspension. But Ford has equipped Mustang with an seperate rear suspension which make this battle even. Handling will be quite good on both vehicles.
2015 Ford Mustang
The 2015 Ford Mustang has also lost some weight due to heavy aluminium use in ite funders and hood but also in the suspension component.
Chevy’s engineers have also paid attention to lose some weight, they have removed sound deadening products and the carpet in the trunk, they have installed lighter and thinner back glass and have only kept one speaker to lower cars curb weight.
Mustang’s exterior has sharper edges and creases, with elegant and sleek LED lights installed on its head hood mounted air extractors. Look wise Camaro has always been a toughest looking machine.
To conclude, Ford have stepped up and meet Camaro in every front, probably surpassing it. Though its difficult to pick a sure shot winner, but 2015 Ford Mustang has slight edge over Camaro.
